যশোর শহর থেকে ৩-৪ কিলোমিটার দূরে পুলেরহাট ব্রিজটি একটি বধ্যভূমি । পাকিস্তানি সেনাবাহিনী এবং তাদের দোসররা গ্রামে ঢুকে লুটপাট অগ্নিসংযোগ করে চরম নির্যাতন করতো। তাছাড়া এলাকার সাধারণ মানুষদের ধরে এনে এই ব্রিজের ওপর দাঁড় করিয়ে হত্যা করতো। মুক্তিযুদ্ধের  সময় পাকিস্তানি সেনা ও রাজাকাররা শত শত বাঙালিকে এখানে নির্মমভাবে হত্যা করেছে। বিভিন্ন এলাকা থেকে মানুষদের ধরে আনা হতো বলে তাদের নাম পরিচয় জানা যায় না, তাছাড়া তাদের কারো কোন লাশ পাওয়া যায় নি। হত্যাকারীরা সকল লাশ নদীতে ভাসিয়ে দিতো।

Polerhat Mass killing site is located 3-4 kilometer far from Jessore city. The Pakistani Army and their collaborators had looted, burnt and tortured inhumanly in this village. Besides that, they had also killed the local villagers on the bridge.  Thevictims were mostly from outside of the village, that is why the identification remains unknown. Even their dead bodies couldn’t be found because the dead bodies were thrown out in the river.
