২০ এপ্রিল, পাকবাহিনী বিশাল কনভয়ের আকারে সাতক্ষীরায় পৌঁছায়। ঐ দিন পাকবাহিনী যশোর-সাতক্ষীরা প্রধান সড়কের ঝাউডাঙ্গা বাজারে পৌঁছালে পার্শ্ববর্তী পাথরঘাটা গ্রামের কুখ্যাত নরপশু মতিয়ার রহমান (বুকড়া মতি) চলমান পাক-বাহিনীর একটি জীপ থামায়। ঐ সময় যশোর ছিয়ানব্বই গ্রাম থেকে আগত এক বিশাল শরণার্থী কাফেলা ঝাউডাঙ্গা বাজার অতিক্রম করছিল, তখন উক্ত মতিয়ার রহমানের ইন্দনে উক্ত জীপের পাকসেনারা ঐ বিশাল শরণার্থী কাফেলার উপর নির্বিচারে গুলি বর্ষণ করে। অতঃপর পাকসেনারা ঝাউডাঙ্গা বাজারের কয়েকটি হিন্দুর দোকান লুটের নির্দেশ দিয়ে সাতক্ষীরা শহর অভিমুখে চলে যায়। পাকসেনাদের অতর্কিত গুলিতে শত শত নর-নারী ও শিশু নিহত ও আহত হয়, যা ছিল অতি হৃদয়বিদারক।   সাতক্ষীরা সদর উপজেলার ঝাউডাঙ্গা হাই স্কুলের উত্তর-পশ্চিম কোনে এই স্থানে গণহত্যা সংঘটিত হয়েছিল। বর্তমানে গণহত্যার স্থানটিতে কয়েকটি বিল্ডিং নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। এখানে কোন স্মৃতি ফলক নির্মাণ করা হয়নি।   *** On 20th April, Pakistani Military Force reached Satkhira with a huge convoy. The troop was crossing Jessore-Satkhira Main road. Vicious Motiyar Rahman (Bukra Moti) stopped the car and with the help of him Pakistani military fired to kill a huge number of refugees from Jessore; Pakistani army had fired on the huge refugee indiscriminately and burnt down many houses and shops. Hundreds of men, women and child got killed on that brutal genocide.     The genocide took place on the north-west side of Jhaudanga High School at Satkhira Sadar Upazilla.

২৮ এপ্রিল কলারোয়া থানায় প্রথম পাকসেনাদের হত্যার শিকার হন মাহমুদপুর গ্রামের আফছারউদ্দীন। অকারণে তাঁকে গোবিন্দকাটি মাঠের ভিতর নিয়ে গুলি করে হত্যা করা হয়। এরপর একই দিনে থানার মুরারীকাটি গ্রামের পাল পাড়ায় খানসেনা ও রাজাকাররা এক নির্মম গণহত্যা চালায়। এ হত্যাকাণ্ডে নিরপরাধ কুম্ভকার বৈদ্যনাথ পাল, রঞ্জন পাল, বিমল চন্দ্র পাল, নিতাই চন্দ্র পাল, গোপাল চন্দ্র পাল, সতীশ পাল, রামচন্দ্র পাল, অনিল চন্দ্র পাল, রামপদ পাল নিহত হন এবং ত্রৈলক্য পালসহ আরও বহুলোক মারাত্মকভাবে আহত হয়েছিলেন।   ***    Afsaruddin of Mahmudpur village was the first person to be killed by the Pakistani Army on 28th April at Kalaroa Thana. He was shot in the field of Gobindakati. Then, on the same day, the Pakistani Army and Razakars perpetrated genocide at Pal Para. In the killing, Kumvakar Vaidyanath Pal, Ranjan Pal, Bimal Chandra Pal, Nitai Chandra Pal, Gopal Chandra Pal, Satish Pal, Ram Chandra Pal, Anil Chandra Pal, Rampod Pal were killed and many others were seriously injured.

কলারোয়া ফুটবল মাঠের রাস্তা সংলগ্ন দক্ষিণ পার্শ্বে : জুলাই মাসে মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণের লক্ষ্যে খুলনা এলাকা থেকে আগত ৬ জন ছাত্র কলারোয়া থানার হামিদপুর গ্রামে রাজাকার ডা: মোকছেদ আলীর কাছে ধরা পড়ে। পরবর্তীতে তাঁদেরকে মুক্তিযোদ্ধা হিসেবে সনাক্ত করে থানায় হস্তান্তর করা হয়। এদের মধ্যে ৩ জন ছাত্র অলৌকিকভাবে পালিয়ে ভারতে যেতে সক্ষম হয়। অপর ৩ জনকে নৃশংসভাবে হত্যা কওে ঘাতকরা। এরপর তাঁদেরকে উক্ত থানার  পার্শ্বে গর্ত খুঁড়ে অর্ধমৃত অবস্থায় মাটি চাপা দেয়। কলারোয়ার গণকবর চিহ্নিত না করে গণহত্যায় শহীদদের স্মরণে নির্মিত হয়েছে কলারোয়া উপজেলায় কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনার ও মুক্তিযুদ্ধের বিজয় স্তম্ভ ফলক।   ***  The south side of the road beside Kolaroa football field: In July, six students from Khulna got arrested by Razakar Dr Mokched Ali in Hamidpur village of Kolaroa, who were coming to participate in the liberation war. Later, they were identified as freedom fighters and handed over to the police station. 3 of them were miraculously able to flee to India. Other 3 were brutally killed. They had been grounded besides the police station. Instead of recognizing the Kolaroa mass grave, a Central Shaheed Minar at Kolaroa Upazilla and a Victory Monument have been built to the memory of the martyrs.

  জুলাই মাসে মুক্তিযুদ্ধে অংশগ্রহণের লক্ষ্যে খুলনা থেকে আগত ৬ জন ছাত্র রাজাকার বাহিনির হাতে ধরা পড়ে। তাদের তিনজনকে হত্যা করে রাজাকারেরা। কলারোয়া ফুটবল মাঠের দক্ষিনপাশে এই শহীদদের কবর দেওয়া হয়।   ***  On July, 6 students from Khulna were arrested by the Razakar troop who (students) were coming to join in the liberation war. The Razakars killed 3 of them. The martyrs were buried on the south of the Kalaroa football field.

ডায়মন্ড হোটেল ও পি.এন. স্কুলে যাদের নির্যাতন করা হত তাদের মারার পর বর্তমান সার্কিট হাউজের পিছনে আটপুকুরের ধারে নিয়ে ফেলে রাখা হত।   ***  Many people have been tortured and killed at the Diamond Hotel and P N School. Their bodies had been thrown at the side of Atpukur (Pond), besides present Circuit House.
টাউন হাই স্কুলের পিছনে দীনেশ কর্মকারের ভিটা বধ্যভূমি/ Dinesh Kormokar Vita (Homestead) [behind Town High School] mass killing site
বর্তমানে মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কবীর সাহেবের চারতলা বাড়ীসহ বাড়ীর পিছনে পর্যন্ত দীনেশ কর্মকারের বাড়ী ছিল। এই বাড়ীতে শরণার্থীরা আশ্রয় নেয়।  তাদের গণহত্যা করার পর দীনেশ কর্মকারের বাড়ীর বারান্দার মাটি ভেঙ্গে লাশগুলো মাটি চাঁপা দেওয়া হলেও তাদের হাত-পা বাইরে ছিল। পাক বাহিনী চলে গেলে স্থানীয় লোকজন তাদের পুন:রায় মাটি চাপা দেওয়া হয়। প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা জানায় অনেকে স্কুলের বারান্দায় ও ছাদে আশ্রয় নিয়েছিল। যারা ছাদে আশ্রয় নিয়েছিল তাদের একজনের দ্বারা অন্যজনকে জবাই করিয়ে ছাদ থেকে ফেলে দেয়। পরবর্তীতে যে জবাই করে তাকেও গুলি করে হত্যা করে। লাশগুলো স্কুলের পিছনের পুকুরের পানিতে ফেলে দেয়। সাতক্ষীরা সদর উপজেলার দীনেশ কর্মকারের বাড়ীর বর্তমান অবস্থা সামনের অংশে একজন মুক্তিযোদ্ধা নির্মিত চারতলা ভবন ও পিছনের অংশে এখনো কিছুটা ফাঁকা রয়েছে।   *** The house of freedom fighter Mr. Kabir and the area behind the house used to be Dinesh Kormkar’s Vita (homestead) in 1971. Refuges took shelter in this house. Pakistani Army exterminated them, and then local people buried their dead bodies. Some of them were slaughtered, some of the bodies were thrown into the pond.

 ১৯৭১ সালের ২১ এপ্রিল সকালে পাকসেনারা সাতক্ষীরা টাউন হাইস্কুল (বর্তমান সরকারী উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়) পূর্বাঞ্চল থেকে আগত আশ্রিত শরণার্থীদের পার্শ্ববর্তী দীনেশ কর্মকার এর বাড়ীতে নিয়ে একের পর এক নির্বিচারে গুলি ও বেয়নেট দিয়ে খুঁচিয়ে খুঁচিয়ে হত্যা করে অসংখ্য নারী ও পুরুষকে। তারপর ট্রাক বন্দী করে বহু কুমারী মেয়েদের নিয়ে সন্ধ্যায় যশোরের দিকে চলে যায়। একই দিনে পাকসেনারা সাতক্ষীরা শহরের রেজিস্ট্রি পাড়ায় এ্যাড: কাজী মসরুর আহমেদ (ক্যাপ্টেন কাজী) এর দ্বিতল বাড়ীর পূর্বাংশ ধ্বংস করে এবং তাঁকে ও তাঁর শ্যালক শেখ মাসুদার রহমানকে গুলি করে হত্যা করে। অতঃপর পাকসেনারা সুলতানপুর কুমারপাড়ায় একই পরিবারের সুরেন্দ্রনাথ পাল, নগেন্দ্রনাথ পাল ও কেষ্টপদ পাল নামে তিনজন হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের ব্যক্তিকে হত্যা করে এবং সুলতানপুর শেখ মশির আহমেদ এর তিনতলা বাড়ী ধ্বংস করে দেয়। একই সময় ইছাগাছা এ্যাড: কালীপদ রায়ের দ্বিতল বাড়ীও ধ্বংস করে এবং উক্ত বাড়ীর সম্মুখে সাতক্ষীরা সিলভার জুবিলি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক আব্দুল কাদের ও কাটিয়া নিবাসী পুন্য সাহকে গুলি করে হত্যা করে। এই নরঘাতকরা সাতক্ষীরা কোর্টের মোহরার চ-ীদাস ও গোষ্ট বাবুকেও নির্মমভাবে গুলি করে মারে। তাছাড়া, শিক্ষক হরধন বাবু, দেবেন মুখার্জী ও এ্যাড: কার্ত্তিক চন্দ্রের বাড়ী পুড়িয়ে দেয়।   ***  In a morning on 21st April, 1971 Pakistani Military Force started to kill many men and women in Shatkhira Town High School (Present Government High School) through fire and bayonets. They had also abducted several young girls and moved towards Jessore. On this day they had killed many famous and important people and burnt down many houses of the locality.

ডায়মন্ড হোটেলে যখন বন্দী বেশি হয়ে যেত তখন বাকীদের পি. এন. হাই স্কুলে পাঠানো হতো। এখানেও অমানবিক নির্যা তন করা হতো। **  When captives were much in numbers in the Diamond Hotel, the rest of them used to be sent to P N High School. They used to be tortured inhumanly here too.
