কুচিয়ামোড়া গণকবর, পাবনা

১৪ অক্টোবর ১৯৭১ কুচিয়ামোড়ার জন্য এক দুঃখের দিন। এদিন বাংলার তিন অকুতোভয় মুক্তিযোদ্ধাকে স্থানীয় রাজাকার ধরে এনে পাবনা-ঢাকা মহাসড়কের পাশে কুচিমোড়া মোড়ে বিভিন্ন ভাবে নির্যাতন করে হত্যা করা। এসময় তাদের নির্যাতনের একপর্যায়ে পাকিস্তানি দোসর রাজাকার বাহিনী পাকিস্তান জিন্দাবাদ বলতে বলে কিন্তু তারা জয় বাংলা বলায় তিনজনের চোখ তুলে নেওয়া হয়। তারপরও যখন তারা পাকিস্তান জিন্দাবাদ বলে না, তখন তারা তাদের তিনজকে গুলি করে হত্যা করে। এই মোড়েই তিনজনের গণকবর রয়েছে। এই তিনজন হলেন- মুক্তিযোদ্ধা মতিয়ার রহমান মতি, আব্দুল মান্নান ও পল্টু মোহন চৌধুরী।

October 14, 1971, is a miserable day for Kuchiamora. On this day, three fearless freedom fighters of Bengal were captured by the local Razakars and tortured to death in various ways at the Kuchimora junction on the Pabna-Dhaka highway. At one stage of their torture, the Pakistani accomplices asked the Razakars to say ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ but when they said ‘Joy Bangla’, the Razakar pilled their eyes out. Yet when they did not say ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, they were killed. They were mass graved at this junction. These three are freedom fighters Matiar Rahman Moti, Abdul Mannan and Poltu Mohan Chowdhury.
